So first, thank you, Emma!!  You are so thoughtful.  Only question is, what the heck do you do with sea parsley?  I am way intrigued but not sure what it would go with/on.

I have lovely friends.  Last night went to a Messiah sing with bluestalking and met other lovely peeps of my acquaintance there, and we sang  most enjoyably.  Also I think I basically finished my ECS story about the dessert guy.  Needs some polishing yet, but essentially there, so I am told.

Tuesday I have to go back to the hospital for more surgery.  This time they're inserting a catheter which I will drain myself -- oh joy! -- twice a week.  I SO wanted to avoid this one, but even with two talcings, my lung is being smooshed into uselessness by the horrid fluid.  They say I will go home the next day.  I hope it's not a lie this time.  A dojo friend told me, "If you're there more than 24 hours, send me a message and I will come bring you chocolate."

Merry Christmas to me.

Messiah is fun!

I'm sorry you have to have more surgery. I hope it goes well.

1. Hounds who imagine they are cats are on my feet and my shoulder? As the one on my shoulder is 52 pounds this comment may be garbled. JUST SAYIN'.

2. I wish I could sing! It hurts my heart when I try because I can hear that it is wrong.

3. Going back in the hospital is wrong. I am unhappy for you, but I hope it works.

4.can no longer type...uh

I'm glad you and Penguin get to hang out again. I miss you both.

I need to mail you chocolate! I'm waiting until after Christmas when the amazing but expensive chocolate shop becomes affordable! They do the best ginger and dark chocolate stars.

Sea parsley! I hope it is very useful, and that your next hospital stay is truly short.

I WENT TO A MESSIAH SING TOO it was so awesome, even though we only did the Christmas part. A nice gentleman paid for my little Christmas+Hallelujah score, so now I have my very own baby Messiah. I am glad the two of you got to go! (And that y'all are hanging out in the same place again yaaaaaaaaaaaay.)

and another ECS story! yay!

and DRAINING OUT YOUR OWN LUNGS that is FASCINATING. it sucks, however, that a) you have to do it at all and b) you have to have more surgery too. I was glad to read your last post and hear that you were out of the hospital, and I will keep my fingers crossed that you do not stay too long. I THINK OF YOU OFTEN AND SEND YOU ALL THE GOOD VIBES I CAN. ♥

It's already Tuesday there though still Monday here, so I'm wishing you luck today/tomorrow and hoping that you really will get to go home the appropriate following day! Glad you got to sing Messiah in between the annoying hospital visits! And looking forward to ECS dessert.

I just read this! Sorry! I'm so glad it got there, and so fast - they said around Christmas it would take 4 weeks!

I bought some sea parsley for myself too, and am going to try it with fish!

Hope they have figured out some way to make your lungs feel better.

ps I have a friend at work who has been doing Aikido for around ten years, loves it, and says it has changed how she thinks. It reminded me of how you talk of Aikido, and she asked what type you do? I did not know there was more than one type!

There are sort of different schools of Aikido. I don't know that much about the others, really. I guess we're of the Aikikai type, although our dojo is no longer part of USAF. Our old Shihan (who died a few years ago) was Kanai Sensei, who studied with the Founder. That might mean something to her.
